WHAT IS IT'S YOUR MOVE?
At IT'S YOUR MOVE we provide a rental service of reusable plastic totes and crates for residential moves.
I DON'T GET IT. WHY BOTHER? IT'S JUST AN ADDED EXPENSE.
Our aim is to basically change how people handle their moves by providing an environmentally friendly alternative via the use of reusable plastic crates and totes. We ensure that by using our products and service for your next move it will be more efficient, convenient and more affordable than using traditional cardboard boxes.

WHO ARE YOUR CLIENTS?
IT'S YOUR MOVE has primarily serviced Downtown Vancouver, Yaletown and the West End. Our clients are usually 1-2 bedroom apartment moves. Most of our clients move themselves rather than use moving companies. Less than half rent trucks, rather, rely on friends. Most of our clients have moved more than twice in 5 years.
HOW COME I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?
So far, most of our business has been word of mouth and we've been run off our feet. It's not a new idea. The use of reusable containers has been the norm in Europe for decades. There are several companies which have similar services the US, albeit commercial moves.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY CONTAINERS I NEED?
We have included an online estimation page. In addition, you may also view our
How Many Do I Need section, to assist in your assessment. Everyone's needs are different. We have found however, that many clients under estimate. You only realize how much stuff you have until the time comes for you to pack it all.
WILL YOU COME TO MY HOUSE TO ESTIMATE HOW MANY I NEED?
Unfortunately no, the estimation process is up to you. We do however have weekly drop off and pickups so if you find yourself short don't hesitate to call, we would be glad to drop off whatever you need.
DOES IT'S YOUR MOVE OFFER DIFFERENT SIZE CONTAINERS?
Yes, our primary line is an industrial grade 75 litre crate which works with an accompanying dolly. We also offer Rubbermaid storage bins and Rubbermaid jumbo tote products as well.
CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT MY BELONGINGS WILL BE PROTECTED?
There's no guarantee but making use of these products in consistency with the
moving tips resource page and
user guide should help address this issue.
WHERE DOES IT'S YOUR MOVE DELIVER TO AND PICK UP FROM?
It's Your Move primarily services the Greater Vancouver area, Lower Mainland Municipalities, Tri-City Area, and the Fraser Valley. We are unable to acommodate long distance moves.
WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?

Online estimation requests can be completed by you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by visiting our
online estimation page, or use our
Book Online service. If your request is received outside of the noted business hours, we will respond to your request the following day.
Delivery times are scheduled to suite your convenience.
HOW MUCH DOES THE SERVICE COST?
Rentals are calculated on a 30 day rental term. Some products are as low as 16 cents a day, that is less than half the price of purchasing new boxes and will save you time. For further information, see our

IS THERE A DELIVERY CHARGE?
Delivery and pick up are included in our package deals or any custom made packages totaling a minimum of $75.00. We will charge $25.00 if you stand us up or require a last minute delivery of further product. In most instances if you are able to wait until the following delivery date the $25.00 secondary delivery charge can be waived.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR DELIVERY? IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF UNITS AND RENTAL TERM?
Yes, a minimum invoice of $75.00.
CAN I PICK UP AND DROP THEM OFF MYSELF?
No, all products must be delivered and collected by an It's Your Move delivery person.
IS THERE A RENTAL DEPOSIT
If you are paying by credit card IT'S YOUR MOVE will secure pre-authorization based on the product cost. Any rental equipment that is not returned or that is damaged during your rental will be charged to your credit card automatically. If you pay by cheque IT'S YOUR MOVE will require a credit card for pre-authorization purposes.
WHY IS THERE A MINIMUM 30 DAY RENTAL TERM?
We have found that the 30 day term has proven the most accurate amount of time required by our clients. This provides us the opportunity to take advanced bookings. If you are interested in amending the 30 day rental agreement, please contact us and we will try our best to accomodate.
CAN I SAVE MONEY BY HAVING THEM PICKED UP BEFORE 30 DAYS?
In some instances we may be able to pick up the crates prior to the agreed pick up date so that they are out of your way. However, The 30 day rental rate is still a fixed price.
WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Cheque, and Cash (exact change is required as our delivery drivers do not carry cash to make change). We are unable to accept Debit at this time.

CAN I PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT RATHER THAN RENTING THEM?
No, IT'S YOUR MOVE moving crates and totes are for rental purposes only.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE OR LOOSE THE RENTAL EQUIPMENT?
Your credit card security deposit will be charged with the repairs or replacement of any rental equipment that is damaged or lost during your rental.
- 75 Litre crate replacements cost $55.00
- 202 litre crate replacements cost $40.00
- 2.5 cu. ft. tote replacements cost $25.00
- Wardrobe units cost $40.00
- Flat furniture dollies cost $100.00
- Crate dollies cost $100.00
- Door guards cost $25.00
WHAT IF I NEED TO EXTEND MY RENTAL TERM?
If you need to extend your rental term simply give IT'S YOUR MOVE a call at 604-835-PACK(7225) and we will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please provide us with as much notice as possible to facilitate your request. Late charges are applicable as follows: Days 1 - 2, $15.00 per day; Days 3 - 4, $25.00 per day; Days 5 - 10, $40.00 per day.
